Support

Support services are provided either on an ad-hoc basis or under a service level agreement. Typical support services cover server support, website maintenance, maintenance of databases, security monitoring of server setups and services running, and any other requirement for support as determined by the project. We provide support 24x7x365 via an Internet connection. On-site support may be scheduled. All support activities are backed by a ticketing system and comprehensive incident reports (root cause analysis). We follow proper change control procedures and perform maintenance activities at off-peak times, as scheduled with relevant stakeholders.

Business

Our business services include project management and general business administration tasks. We can create concept pitches that allow companies to pitch to venture capitalists and other investors. We also assist companies with the creation of compelling business plans. We take the burden of documentation off our clients hands and help with the creation of proposals. Management Team

Jan Willem Frederik (Dérik) Thirion received the B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in electronic engineering, both cum laude, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1999 and 2001 respectively. His career started as a lecturer at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He then worked on numerous government-funded projects, including the African Speech Technology (AST) project and the South African Directory Enquiries (SADE) project. The SADE project was funded by the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) in South Africa. At Molo Afrika Speech Technologies (Pty) Ltd, he was the Chief Technology Officer, shareholder and director. In 2012, he co-founded Mozart Akademie where he handled the information technology aspects, business management and strategy. In 2014, he started Vigeosys (Pty) Ltd. He currently does work for local and international clients in the telecommunication, speech technology and mobile banking sectors, where he builds robust, scalable, redundant and high-performance systems. He is a shareholder, director and member of the board of numerous other companies.

Carina Thirion received a B.Com (Accounting) in 1997 and Higher Education Diploma (HED) in 1998, both from the University of Pretoria. In 2000, she received a certificate in Information Technology (IT) from Technikon SA and completed the Special Needs Adapted Program (SNAP) Professional Course in 2011 and 2014. In 2013, she attended the Fishbowl course for training on Autism Spectrum Disorder and completed the Mind Moves course in 2015. From 1999, she worked as a teacher at various high schools teaching subjects such as Accounting, Business Economics and Computer Studies. From 2003, she was employed as a programmer doing work for a major telecommunications operator in South Africa. In 2012, she founded Mozart Academy, a non-profit special needs school, where she handles the daily running of the school as well as teaching one of the classes.
